Description
Chilly Chinchillas - A North Side ice plant brought relief to a dozen chinchillas - $7,200 worth flown here Sunday from Idaho Falls. Idaho, after two others died of the 106-degree heat at Meacham Field. Ronald Hammond of Idaho Falls sold the furry animals to an agent here. Left, Bob Dupree, ice plant manager, and Ed Ritchey, who came up with the cooling idea, give three the ice treatment.
