Davis Motors was announced Saturday as the successor to the Steve Cooke Motor Company, Dodge and Plymouth dealer at 208 Taylor Street Charles N. Davis Jr. of Dallas said he has purchased some of the assets of the firm from the estate of Steve Cooke, who died April 1. The firm was founded by Cooke and Ellis H. Boyd in 1916. At the time of his death, Cooke was the oldest Dodge dealer in Texas in point of service.
