Description

Mid-Day Rest - Tom Cashner, 18, pauses on his trip from Canton, Ohio, to Dallas for a noon drink and rest from hours in the saddle. Cashner left Ohio in April and after a week's rest in Ardmore, Oklahoma, continued his journey to Dallas. This picture was made four miles south of Gainesville soon after he crossed into Texas for the last lap of the estimated 1,300-mile ride.
