This Latvian family sponsored by two Arlington sisters, Misses Grace and Myrtle Thornton were reunited in Arlington after arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dakteris and their daughter, Iness, from a DP (displaced persons) camp in Germany. Left to right, they are Mrs. Sophie Francis, mother of Mrs. Dakteris, Iness, Dakteris, Mrs. Dakteris and Miss Sonja Francis of Dallas. Mrs. Francis and daughter, Sonja, also are DPs who arrived in Arlington last September. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition July 22, 1951.
