Plucky Nancy Voss of Wichita Falls, forgot about her cancer that has already caused the amputation of her right leg as she celebrated her 12th birthday with a visit to Forest Park Zoo and a round of gala activities in Fort Worth. Picture snapped at the zoo mirror her happiness as she contributed to the giraffe fund. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition July 19, 1951.
