Lieutenant colonel Ernest P. Edwards, left, welcomed his successor as executive officer of the Fort Worth Quartermaster Depot, Colonel Gilbert M. Elliott, as the latter reported for duty at the depot on transfer from Governor's Island, New York, where he has been deputy quartermaster for the 1st Army. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition July 10, 1951.
