Mrs. A. C. Bjork, 2927 Travis, above, is a little bit afraid her 8-year-old pear tree is overdoing a good thing this season. It's set a new fruit-bearing record, with ends of its branches weighted with from 10 to 14 pears, like the ones shown here. She hopes such exuberance won't harm the tree (her only one) which friends said wouldn't bear at all because it didn't have any pear tree company.
