Description
The 49th Armored Division has been in two-weeks' training at Camp Polk and citizen soldiers of the group have been learning the lessons of war all over again. Taking a break during a cleanup session on a Company B 249th Heavy Tank Battalion tank are Sergeant Edward J. Eastwood, Sergeant First Class Carl W. Hardin, Sergeant First Class Ben E. Blitch, and Sergeant Travis P. Mayfield. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition June 24, 1951.
