Description
A Fort Worth boy is being nominated for a Carnegie Hero Award for saving the life of a Presbyterian minister. Don White, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A. White, has been given full credit for the rescue of Rev. S. H. Salmon from drowning. Rev. Mr. Salmon stated in a recent letter that "there is absolutely no question in my mind that had not Don White come to my help, I would surely have drowned that day". Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition June 24, 1951.
