Description
Joe Torpey slides in safely at third base to complete a scamper from first base on an infield out in the second inning of the Cat-Shreveport second game at La Grave Field. The Sports' third baseman, Vern Petty, has the ball in his glove but Torpey's toe already has reached the bag. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 23, 1951.
