Four Gold Star Mothers whose sons served under the command of General Douglas MacArthur, stood together on a crowded Main St. curb as the general came into view, and cheered him as he passed. Left to right are Mmes. Nora Denny, I. D. Simpson, Gus Rahr, and Alice G. Nesmith. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition June 16, 1951.
