Bob Rothel, Weatherford, won the horse race for the premiere of the motion picture "Fort Worth" in less than 24 minutes for 10 miles. Bob Rothel can be seen riding on a horse as they race towards the victory line. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition June 14, 1951.
