Description

A wall of water, running about five feet high, gushes over Lake Brownwood dam spillway into Pecan Bayou after heavy rains put Brownwood under a blanket of floodwaters in lowland sections. About 300 person were driven from their homes. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition June 12, 1951.
