    Description

The five Stephens children ate ice cream in unusual silence after they all had their tonsils removed at All Saints Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Stephens encourage Surrynda, 5, left, to eat but (left to right) Royce, 12; Douglas, 7; Roegla, 4, and Mary Lou, 10, hold their own. They live at 3600 Panola. The children can be seen holding ice cream in their hands in the photograph. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition June 8, 1951.
