Description
From A Miniaturists Brush - This miniature of Mrs. Sidney Smith of Hotel Texas, was done by Leiber Freedenthal of Atlanta. Executed on ivory of tissue thinness, Freedenthal highlighted the darker colors of the figure with a "suggestion of a Gainsborough outdoor background." It was commissioned by Mrs. Smith's daughter, Mrs. A. J. Broderick.
