Sissie, a black alley cat at the R. A. Brown home in Throckmorton, will mother just about anything. Here, she returns to her adopted son, a small raccoon, after an afternoon of hunting field mice. Brown's son, Rob, induced the cat to mother the raccoon after the little fellow's own mother deserted him. A black alley cat, Sissie is shown with a small raccoon.
