Cornerstone of the new $25,000 Austin stone chapel of the Asbury Methodist Church at 2908 Layton Ave, Haltom City, Texas was laid. Cecil Dowdy, left, and Paul Brown, right, building committee members, are shown placing the stone while Reverend Payne watches. Cecil Dowdy, Paul Brown and Reverend Jack Payne can be seen holding the cornerstone. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition June 4, 1951.
