Mrs. George R. Schroeter, left, and her seven-year-old daughter Deanna Schroeter, both of 3500 Avenue K, are shown admiring a collection of sake cups and chessmen, which Colonel and Mrs. John L. M. Desislet lent to the Fort Worth Art Association for exhibition. Mrs. Schroeter holds a hand-carved painted ivory chess piece that was approximately 200 years old, while Deanna holds a cavalry cup. Published in the morning edition, June 3, 1951.
