Sono Uchida is shown looking at a painting of a Buddhist legend as depicted by his instructor, Kofu Sakamoto. Uchida hung the exhibition of Sakamoto's work at Hemphill Presbyterian Church for a two-week show. Published in the evening edition, May 30, 1951.
