Bert Wakefield, seated on the right, was indicted in March, 1951, on two felony gambling complaints, posted a $5,000 bond. On the left, Sheriff Sully Montgomery, who had arrested Wakefield in Las Vegas Navada earlier in the week, is shown examining the signature. Published in the evening edition, May 29, 1951.
