Max Fly (left), Odessa flyweight, squared off against Riley Wilson of Wichita Falls in one of the early bouts of the State Golden Gloves tournament at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Fly gained the decision to move into the quarterfinals. Jimmy Neace is the referee. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 18, 1950.
