This image is part of a series that shows the aftermath of a tornado that flew through Olney, damaging over 100 homes and other buildings, resulting in two deaths. Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Wendenburg are shown leaving their shattered home in Olney Texas after the tornado demolished their home. The couple was in their kitchen when the twister hit, but experienced minimal injured. An unidentified woman is visible behind Mr. Wendenburg. Published in the evening edition, May 19, 1951.
