Description
Weapon against polio - An Emerson dome respirator, second of its type in the Unites States, was presented Saturday to the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis by the Texas Council of Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority. The machine will be sent to Houston, where it will be available to polio victims in six states. Shown during the presentation ceremony are, left to right, Miss Jeanne Kaplan of Houston, sorority social service director; Mrs. J. P. Dougherty of Austin, state project director, and Mrs. R. O. Pearson of Abilene, state advisor on women's activities.
