Description

The stork Friday had been given precedence over an airline order. Dwight Chiles, Fort Worth district sales manager for Braniff International Airways, had received an appointment as district sales manager at San Antonio when his superiors learned Mrs. Chiles was expecting a bundle from the stork. His successor as sales manager for this district, which includes most of West Texas, already had been named, but a change in jobs is to become effective after the Chiles' baby arrives. Chiles has been here two and one-half years. Meanwhile, Gene Alexander, promoted from special sales representative for Braniff at Dallas to sales manager of the Fort Worth district, awaits his new job while Dwight Chiles, the expectant father, counts days on the stork's "schedule," with arrival tentatively set for early next week. The stork plans stymied for Alexander and his wife. They will move in at 3106 Sondra when the Chiles family departs. Mr. and Mrs. Chiles have a 3-year-old daughter. Both Chiles and Alexander are graduates of the University of Texas and both were Air Force pilots during World War II.
