Young Virginia Winegar is shown holding, "Louella," one of many porcelain dolls made by Mrs. John M. Goodwin of Arlington. Louella is an reproduction of a Civil War era doll that belonged to a girl of the same name, Louella Styles, who was the daughter of a Colonel in the Confederate army. Published in the morning edition, May 27, 1951.
