Description
Nine crewmen were brought to Carswell Air Base. Their B-36 had trouble over Queen Charlotte Sound. Embraces such as this were many and long at Carswell Air Base as survivors of a stricken B-36 reached home. At left are Lieutenant Ernest O. Cox and Mrs. Cox and at right, Captain Harold L. Barry and Mrs. Barry. Barry was the plane commander and pilot. The men are welcomed with hugs and kisses from their wives. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 18, 1950.
