Image shows three directors of the Colorado River Municipal Water District, holding shovels, to break ground for an $11,750,000 water project on the Colorado River, 16 miles southwest of Synder. The program is financed through revenue bonds that will assure water supplies for Snyder, Big Spring and Odessa. From left to right, James Rosser, Snyder, P. C. Harbour, Odessa and Lyle Deffebach, Snyder. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 1, 1951.
