    Description

    Shorty, a 710-pound choice Hereford steer fed by Hershel Wade, left, bought a choice price when the Dickens County FFA and 4-H Club boys sold their feeder calves at Fort Worth. Forrest Keith, right, McAdoo vocational agriculture teacher talks price with T. A. Nored, commission agent, while Charles A. Taylor, second from left, listens in. The steer, along with 30 others, brought 37 1/2 cents a pound. Two of the calves brought 36 cents. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition April 17, 1951.
