Description
Joe Macko, Dallas first baseman, makes a beautiful hand-first slide for the plate in the fifth inning of game at La Grave, but it is wasted effort. Cat Manager Bobby Bragen already had tagged him out on the baseline after a squeeze play attempted by the Eagles had mis-fired. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 22, 1951. A baseball man in sliding ground position and one baseball man squatting leaped off the ground.
