Fireman Vernon Seals, right, promised his Red Cross first aid students a ride on a firetruck when they finished their course, but fire department officials turned down the idea. some of the first aid ladies might get hurt, they said; but allowed them to inspect the truck, while it stood still, were, left to right, Misses Rita Parks, Adeline Cropper, Adele Steiner, Louise Rogers and Hibernia Smith. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition April 9, 1951.
