    Michael Bartlett, who sang the role of Dick Johnson in the opera "Girl of the Golden West" swooned himself when he was serenaded by three young guitar-playing cowgirls are standing, left to right, Kay Buck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Cheek and kneeling Joan Loffland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Loffland Junior. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition March 6, 1951.
