Description
Aviation medicine men from all over the United States inspected the new "jiffy suit" at Carswell Air Base shown here modeled by Corporal Kenneth L. Johnson, altitude chamber technician photographed inside the chamber at Carswell just before an demonstration as part of a two-day "aircrew effectiveness" conference here. Johnson is ready for a high-altitude bail-out, in which the suit would protect him from "exploding" on the way down. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 3, 1951.
