Description
Col. B. C. Kennon, center, from the 4th Army's Inspector General department, wound up the annual federal inspection of the 739th Armored Ordnance Maintenance Battalion units here at the Lake Worth National Guard Armory. With the colonel, who said "All these units are doing all right," are Captain A. L. Reader Jr., left, Headquarters Company commander, and Maj. Fred A. Elliston, assistant battalion ordnance officer. Behind them is a tank transporter. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition March 28, 1951.
