Description
The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are hosting the visiting Texas A&M Aggies at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. Thousands of football fans traveled from all over to catch the game. Tuning up before the game on the Texas Christian University (T. C. U.) Campus is Bill Gesell, a member of the Frog marching band. Is is shown doing his best to charm four T. C. U. students. The girls, left to right are Charlotte Garza, Betty Bechtol, Betty Pope, and Virginia Bergeron. Mr. Gesell is dressed in a hat and a jumpsuit. He is playing his saxophone. Miss Garza, of Fort Worth, is wearing a button-up dress with a bow in her hair. Miss Bechtol, of Fort Worth, is wearing a button-up blouse and a hat. Miss Pope, of Abilene, Texas, is dressed in a collared shirt and trousers. Miss Bergeron, of Fort Worth, is wearing a button-up blouse, sweater, and trousers. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, October 18, 1941.
