The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are hosting the visiting Texas A&M Aggies at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. Thousands of football fans traveled from all over to catch the game. Attending the pregame parade on Main Street are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gillis and Miss Anna Ruth Ashe. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gillis, of Fort Worth, Texas, are watching their son, Cadet Colonel Tom Gillis Junior head the Aggie parade. Mr. Gillis is dressed in a hat and a double breasted suit. Mrs. Gillis is wearing a hat, button-up dress and carrying a bouquet of flowers. Miss Ashe from TSCW (Texas State College for Women) is the Aggie sweetheart for the game. She is wearing a hat, striped blouse, blazer, skirt, and a corsage. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, October 18, 1941.
