    Description

Wayne Townsend is a student at Texas A&M College. He is in Fort Worth, Texas to attend the football game between the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs and the visiting Texas A&M Aggies. Mr. Townsend advertised for one date to the game and received sixty responses. He is shown with Miss Barbara Van Zandt, the Fort Worth girl he chose for his own date, passing the other requests on to classmates. Their day of fun included the game, dinner at the Van Zandt home, and dancing. They are leaning on the driver's side door of an automobile. Miss Van Zandt is wearing a dress. Mr. Townsend is dressed in a military uniform. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 19, 1941.
