Description
"Crashproof" fireplug being inspected by A. M. Brenneke, left, Denison, Texas, Chairman of the Southwest Section, American Water Works Association, and M. R. Smith Junior, Lubbock, Texas, city engineer. The crashproof fireplug is comparatively a new development in the waterworks field. They are attending a sectional convention at Hotel Texas. Mr. Brenneke and Mr. Smith are wearing suits and ties and are standing and looking at the fireplug in the middle of a fire hydrant display. Mr. Smith is holding a wrench connected to the top of the hydrant. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, October 13 1941.
