Description
The River Crest Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas is hosting the Texas Women's Open. As a preliminary feature, the club is holding a mixed doubles golf match. Hitting the ball from the fairway is professional golfer Helen Dettweiller. She is shown in the follow-through of her swing after hitting a wood. She is wearing a short-sleeve button-up blouse, and a skirt. Later, in 1950, she was one of the founding members of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (L. P. G. A.).
