Description

A mixed doubles tournament is being held at the River Crest Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing, left to right, are Mary Agnes Wall, W. A. Moncrief, Helen Dettweiller, and Marvin Leonard. The twosomes tied with low net scores of 152. The doubles tournament is a preliminary feature of the Texas Women's Open. Miss Wall is an amateur golfer and will be competing in the Open. She is wearing a hat, plaid button-up blouse, and a skirt. Mr. Moncrief, of the Moncrief Oil Company, is wearing a hat, button-up shirt, and trousers. Miss Dettweiler is a professional golfer and later was one of the founders of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (L. P. G. A.). She is wearing a short-sleeve button-up blouse, and a skirt. Mr. Leonard is dressed in a hat, collared shirt, and trousers.
