Description

The Texas Christian University football team is traveling to Indiana to face the Hoosiers at Memorial Stadium. The Frogs waving good-bye from the train are Beecher Montgomery (front), Derrell Palmer (right), and Bruce Alford (back). Montgomery is dressed in a cowboy hat, button-up shirt with cuffed sleeves, necktie, and trousers. Palmer, a starting tackle, is wearing a cowboy hat, button-up shirt, and trousers. Alford, an star end, is dressed in a button-up shirt and a letterman jacket. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 10, 1941.
