Description
The Texas Defense Guard is welcoming 31 new members to Company C, 27th Battalion, with a barbecue at the Meadowbrook Community Center. Preparing to speak at the barbecue welcome, left to right, are Captain J. B. Calder and First Sergeant H. O. Maddox. Sergeant Maddox is the master of ceremonies. He is introducing Captain Calder, of Company A, who is the chief speaker. Both men are dressed in military uniforms.
