Description

The Highland Hereford Breeders Association sold their 1941 crop of feeder calves at Marfa. The sale attracted visitors from many States. The auction attracted the attention of the Chuck Wagon Gossiper. Shown, from left to right, are Mr. and Mrs. Wert Love, Marfa, Texas ranchers, and Mrs. Love's Father, R. B. Davis, El Paso, Texas business man. Both Mr. Love and Mr. Davis are wearing suits, ties and hats. Mrs. Love is wearing a dark dress with a partial scarf. She is holding a fur coat. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 9, 1941.
