    Description

    Brigadier General William Hood Simpson is the commander of Camp Wolters Infantry Replacement Center at Mineral Wells, Texas. He is being nominated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt for promotion to Major General. General Simpson is sitting at his desk speaking on the telephone. He is dressed in his military uniform. Townspeople, friends from civilian and military life, and family are keeping the General's telephone line busy with congratulations. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, September 30, 1941.
