W. S. Woodruff, of Rochester, Illinois, is a cattle feeder from the Corn Belt who will attend a cattle auction in Marfa, Texas. In 1940, he purchased some of the George Jones cattle for feeding. He is standing outdoors, in front of a truck. Also in the background are rows of crops. Woodruff is wearing a long-sleeve, button-down shirt, trousers, a belt and a hat.
