Highland Hereford Association staged the Eleventh Annual Feeder Sale at Marfa, Texas. The cattlemen from many States attended the sale to bid on the fine cattle or to look them over while meeting friends. Two attendees Mrs. Joe Mitchell (left) and Mrs. R. E. N. Townsend, Junior (Jr.) are pictured here. They are standing in front of a table and talking. Both women are wearing dresses. Mrs. Townsend is wearing a hat. There husbands are in the cattle business in the Highland country. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 7, 1941.
