Description

The Highland Hereford Breeders Association sold their 1941 crop of feeder calves at Marfa. Shown is the grand champion load of Hereford calves of the sale. They were being auctioned off to an Illinois buyer at 18 cents a pound on the hoof. The calves were bred by Smith Brothers. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 9, 1941.
