Description
Harry Peterson, chairman of the judges committee for the Texas essay contest, sponsored by Interstate Theaters in conjunction with the Southwest premiere of the film "Texas". In this picture, he is awarding prizes to the winners. Left to right they are: Elizabeth Faguy-Cote, winner of the first prize of $15 in the senior high school division; Mary Louise Miller, winner of the second prize $10 in the senior division; Roy McCoy, winner of the first prize $10 in the junior high school division and Willard Bennett, winner of the second prize in the junior high school division. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 5, 1941.
