These girls and these horses were at the third annual show of the Texas Palomino Association in Abilene, Texas, during the West Texas Fair. Shown here is Miss Patsy Frances Winters of Abilene, Texas on Pal Mio, owned by Walter Heinene, Comfort, a prize winner. Miss Winters is in a large pasture. Behind her is a fairgrounds. She is wearing Western attire and cowgirl boots. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 1, 1944.
