Description

The Baylor Bears are opening their college football season at Municipal Stadium in Waco, Texas. They are hosting the visiting Hardin-Simmons Cowboys (dark jerseys). During the game, Cowboy end H. C. Burrus, switched to tailback. He is shown running the ball to the Baylor forty-yard line. The play went for a five-yard gain and a first down. Three Bears were in on the tackle, including Milton Crain (30) and Lester Gatewood (55). Baylor went on to win 24-0. A school band is in view at the top of the grandstand with at least three tubas.
