Description
The Baylor Bears are opening their college football season at Municipal Stadium in Waco, Texas. They are hosting the visiting Hardin-Simmons Cowboys (dark jerseys). The most spectacular touchdown of the game came in third quarter. Jack Wilson, quarterback for the Bears, is making a push for the goal line. With a barrel roll, he hit the Cowboy line and cart-wheeled into the end zone. He is shown with his leg pointed at the sky, moments before breaking the plane for a touchdown. The Bears went on to win the game 20-0. A referee races toward the action from the right. "(Star-Telegram Photos by Frank Reeves.)" Published Star-Telegram Morn. Sep. 28, 1941
